Jamieson, Victoria, Australia.
A couple of us were lucky to get away Friday at various times so Kerry and i left home just before 12pm and headed to Healesville, then across to Marysville for a pie and a coffee from the bakery then on to Jamieson.
Being a nice sunny arvo we decided to take the Woods Point rd to Matlock , Woods Point, Gaffney's Creek and Kevington before arriving at Skipworth about 4.15pm.
Halfway thru setting up Phil arrived and a bit later Danny turned up on his disco's maiden voyage , plan was to have a raging inferno but the wood was so damp we had to settle for a candle to sit around .
Mid morning on Saturday after Kyle had his S&S&S and breakfast, he took us up looking for an area where gem stones had been found.
We went up Poletti track to Mt Terrible then down Fryers track, stopped for lunch on the ridge before heading down to the Eildon - Jamieson rd and on to Jamieson for a couple of beer's at the pub.
We ran into a tree across the track so out came the chainsaw and then a winch to pull it off the track.
It was still early so Danny guided us on a loop that was just behind Jamieson and was to bring us back to the start, went down to check out the river crossing which luckily wasnt too high so a quick car wash gave us a shortcut back to camp.
We got back to camp and started to get the fire going, our saviour Kyle brought some pine paling's which gave us the heat we needed to get the damp wood going.
A slight improvement on Friday nights effort !
