Mileage Estimates?

I am looking at towing a horse trailer about 4k lbs loaded from Washington to Oklahoma with my LR3 V8. LR3 will be carrying 4 people and a little luggage. Any guestimates on what I can expect for best and worst case gas mileage? I envision the trip getting more expensive every day.... Also, should I swap out the hollow tow bar with a solid tow bar? you are looking at what 1,800 miles? LR3 gets 13 mpg city and 17 hwy so lets go a little under your city and say 9 mpg. with gas at $3.75 that would put you at around $750.
