I just may attend. Purchased a chassis from a seller in NC so gotta drive down anyways. Would hate to make 2 seperate trips down.

Im really glad to see the overland lifestyle start to take shape here in the US though. We seem to be miles behind Africa and Australia with regards to the overland community. Limited overland auppliers and fabricators which means limited access to some amazing kit and mods.

One really cool thing they did last year is allow you to drive your vehicle on the LR Driving School course on the grounds. The Biltmore is truly an amazing place.

We are making plans to join a group from Northern Virginia. A buddy went to the 2017 OE/West and was told the East organization has Biltmore style... We can't wait.

Cheers,
G

I'll be there on Saturday. Hoping to do the course this time if time permits. Fyi for those who decide to go. If you get a day pass and will not be camping, there is a shuttle that takes you to the expo from parking lots on the grounds. Vendors and those that camp are the only ones who are able to drive their vehicles to the expo and park there. The shuttles are prompt and it isnt a hassle. Once at the expo, you walk from there to the vendors, etc. The Biltmore LR driving course is located off site from the expo. There is a LR sponsored course at the expo though that is pretty cool. BFG sponsored one also you can drive with the provided vehicle, a 110, Jeep Wrangler and a Tacoma. I'm hoping they will expand it this year since it was such a success the last two years. I would say the only negative is the lack of more space to have trails and courses. I don't know if they can overcome that or if they are able to request more land. The Biltmore grounds are amazing. The LR's are in their natural setting there. If you are able to drive your Rover, do not forget to drive to the Biltmore Castle and get a picture out front. Truly an awesome backdrop.
