hey everyone. went down to the Pine Barrens in NJ with my club. had a great time. we camped in the yurts in Brendan Byrne State Forest and did plenty of wheeling. I sunk my truck in a big rutted out hole and had to winch myself out, my tranny ecu was soaked and malfunctioning so i had to take it out and blow it dry that gave me limp mode to get back to camp, but the synth line on my winch was frozen solid after sucking up all that water so it was rendered useless the next day when the temp was a mere 22f. overall a great trip, only thing missing was the snow. here are some pics. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1079135&type=3
there will be a story about the trip in land rover owners int'l

Slingin, i have carpets in throughout in my truck, went out with ed, into most of the same water.....didnt get buried like he did, but didn't take on any water either. I replaced my driver side seals and the rear hatch seal with D2 seals and they performed MARKEDLY better than the D1 seals. I'm waiting to hear from my friendly neighborhood wrecker (ahem...randy) to get the passenger side seals too.
I say keep the carpet as long as you can....ditch it when you need to
