Default Pulley System to winch out by hand???

Has anyone tried to pull a vehicle out by hand using a pulley sysem
mabie a 27:1 system? Thinking of rigging one up. I think you would need to grunt out a little over 200lb of pulling force plus friction, You could also go with 81:1 so only 70lbs of grunt it would only take 8 pullies total. Or will this just not work and I have gone completly nuts?

mathematically it works but who knows how practical it is. Sounds like it could be possible? hell, give it a shot, get a bunch of crappy snatch blocks or something and test it out on you truck in neutral on pavement. You'd also need a ton of cable for that to work though.

at the school for army mechanics and truck drivers they do an exercise that involves un-sticking a humvee from a sand pit using only human power and pulleys. it was on an episode of "dirty jobs". it took them forever to rig up and a squad (7 soldiers more or less) to get the job done but the did it. so it seems like it is one of those things that is possible but not practical.

what about a pulley system and a hi-lift jack with some chocks? a little mechanical advantage would go a long way - i think...
