Default Rovers on the Rocks VII

It is that time of year again. This event is gaining in popularity every year, and this year is looking to be no different. We have had a lot of people asking already, so here it is.

November 13-15th
Rausch Creek Off-Road Park

We will be doing trail rides all day Friday and early Saturday morning. Rock Course challenge will be Saturday afternoon for those who wish to watch and participate.

Cost is whatever Rausch Creek charges you for your time there.

For those who wish to camp, good luck and godspeed.

For those who froze their asses off last year and choose to live civilized this year,

Hampton Inn
481 Suedberg Rd.
Pine Grove, PA 17963
(570) 345-4505
$109/night mention Lucky 8's Land Rover Event when booking.

As always, we will have a meal catered by Buddy's Log Cabin after the challenge on Saturday night. The meal and awards ceremony will take place in the hotel conference room.

Cost is $20/meal and tickets can be purchased here: Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...

Please email me if you are interested in joining us so we can get a proper head count.

Interested in coming with 2, possibly 3 more rovers. Wondering about trail rides on Friday/Saturday.

Are there set trails that are organized and planned to ride, or are different groups just going to go off by themselves to different trails. Wondering because the other person coming with me has a basically stock P38 with great tires but isn't interested in doing anything crazy so we were thinking about signing up for the 101 and 201 courses that Creek offers.

But if there will be some groups doing relatively easy trails, we can skip the courses and just tag along with fellow Rover owners.

Thanks for any info.

Charlie

There are easy to hard trails and you can choose what you want to tackle.

I'm going in a Stock Discovery II so I'm going to be sticking to the light stuff as well. It's a great time though and I had fun attending a few years back.

If across the street is open trails are nice in there, we did them back in July with the local club, the main park trails are not as rated due to age washout and lack of maintenance

Who all else is coming?

I'm trying to make it. Literally racing the clock to finish building an '04 (to replace my '01) right now. Heads are on, lower intake on... I'm trying I'm trying.

Still have to mount new rad, install new steering box, swap over lift kit, mount tires, winch, roof rack, cross fingers that motor fires up without any issues ...ugh.
