Just recieved my 2003 LR Disco 2 HSE delivered form Fla, turn the stereo on and note a message asking for codes to be input to activate the radio. I realize I will have to go through a LR dealership to do this using my VIN but has anyone had problems doing so or is this going to be a sweat free endeavor in the am when I get off work?

 

they need the serial on the radio there is a company gb4x4 that will give you the code but thy charge $25.00

 

I think paying the $25 is a better option than pulling the dashboard out or whatever is involved with removing the radio. I called LR USA this am and they gave me a code of 0000. Of course I tried iinputting that to no avail. Are there stpe wise directions anywhere for inputting the codes for the radio? Drove to work today first time in my "new" '03, one hour drive without radio is a bit rough.

 

Update, bought the radio removal key on ebay for $4 shipped, pulled the head unit out, serial number secured(took picture of the sticker also) and called Becker Audio at (201) 773-0976. They are headquartered in NJ. Simply gave them the serial# and code provided within 5 seconds. I'd recommend going through Becker r/t Landrover as they seem more in tune to your needs. End of the day I have beautiful sound ������������ .

 

I'm curious, my radio won't turn on and I've never had it on since I got the truck. How would I know I'd I need a code?
