Default IN DASH NAV FOR LR3

has anyone put in a pioneer AVIC-D3 in dash unit for a LR3 SE V8or similar how did it fit and how do you like it this one for the dollar looks like it night be the ticket you can even put in a back up camera, blue tooth, everything ... any one put one in i ws told it would fit but i think you might need a spacers on the sides. ALSO i have been hearing about optical cable for the radio or somtthing is it a pain to wire up or is it just like anyother radio swap just get the harness kit and done?
