Default ipod cassete adaptor

i have one of these and it worked fine yesterday than today i come out and put it in and it wont work? it just ejects? anyone know why

does it go from side 1 to side 2 and back and forth until it ejects? i have the same problem i couldn't figure it out so i bought an ipod interface, im waiting for it to arrive. id still be interested to know why it does that if anyone knows.

They were never know to be a quality item that lasted long compared to some of Beldin's top line FM I-Pod adapters or better yet look at the link in my signature section.
