Default Radar Install.....

Hey.........does anyone know the easiest way to hardwire a Radar Detector? I have an '07 Range Supercharged. The closest power point is located inside the console between the front seats. HELP!

Try here - you can tap in to the power around your mirror.

If you have sunroof controls thats a good power point to get at too then you can use that and mount the detector high with a short cord

Default RE: Radar Install.....

i just picked up my new LR2 a couple days ago and am ready to hardwire my V1. I already have a wiring harness for it that I used in my BMW previously. What I need to know now is A) how to detach the overhead fixture where the map lights and sunroof controls are, and B) which wire is a good switched power source to splice into. Any pictures/diagrams would be awesome. Or just explain how to detach it and I'll try different wires until figure it out, lol.

Thanks,
Rob
