Are you building teardrop style, or the style with the tent on top?

Here is the 4x8 HD harbor freight trailer almost perfect hitch height without a drop hitch or bigger tires

This will not be a camper and no roof tent plan, it will be a enclosed box with side storage over the wheels , tounge box and Jerry can holders

Basicly a trailer to hold our camping crap

I am going to cut down this trailer and make the deck shorter

Box u will build is gonna be 48 wide, 50 long, 32 tall, Jerry cans in front of that and tounge box in front of them

Um yeah, 1 reason is the trailer won't stay square as is

As designed the overall width will be 78" is that too wide? I am not dragging this on trails

Sort of stand still till all my tool boxes arrive unless I have a stroke of genius lol

Tom,

Take a look at Dinoot Fiberglass trailer tubs. They are designed to be built around the Harbor Freight trailer chassis.

Today yielded mostly info

Hf trailer is 5x4.5" same as jeep yj,tj, ford ranger explorer crown Vic etc
Had a friend give me nice 1"? Bolt on spacers should I need em

I plan to go no larger then 31x10.5 on tires

I also found this which has nice plans on cutting down the trailer which is on my list, also making it narrower, thinking I want the deck 40" wide, plus this will help the tires clear

Fiberglass M416/M100 Military-style Trailer Tub Kit

Also picked up a ATV cargo basket from hf, will save me some Fab time on a Jerry can holder and it was cheap around $40 with coupon?

Still waiting on parts so I can figure my final trailer size and start chopping

Btw use of aluminum rims like jeep require spacers cause the center hub hole is too small from what I read, but the steel are fine, need like a 2.5" hole?
