Default Ease of mechanical work

I am curious to find out how easy it is to do you own mechanic work on a early to mid 80's defender 110. I have owned Jags in the past and did some of my own wrenching. I restored an E-type including an engine rebuild and rebuilt the front suspension on an 86 XJ-6. Is the Defender V-8 and easy engine to work on?

Yeah, it's pretty easy. Even more so since you can unbolt the wings to get even better access.
