Default Speedometer

Ive spent the last week installing a new stereo system in my 93 defender 110.
however now my speedometer doesnt seem to be working. i may have unpluged something somewhere, but i dont know what

what should i look for to try and fix my speedometer?

A '93 will have a mechanical speedo driven by a cable from the gearbox. Most likely you've pushed on the cable while putting the stereo in and it's popped off the back of the speedo. You'll be able to take the front off the instrument binnacle and peer down the back of the speedo, use a torch, to see if this is the case - you might be able to reach behind the binnacle to plug it back in if this is what has happened, depends on how skinny your hands are
