Default Turn Signal Lever Issue

If this issue has been covered elsewhere, Im sorry for bringing it up again. I searched for it, but came up with nothing.

I drive an '85 110 300TDi. My turn signals no longer work, and neither does my horn. All fuses are good, and the highbeam function of the lever still works fine. Is the lever bad? I need to know its not something else before I go out and buy a new turn signal lever.

Thanks for any help.

turn signal relay/flasher I'd bet. (you might have to try 2 or 3 in the parking lot of a parts store... mine was picky about which one worked).

The next in the line I'd say is the hazard switch. (I just went through a similar issue).

thanks, I'll give that a shot. but will that solve the horn issue too? just doesnt make sense to me why both the turn signals AND the horn stopped working.

*just ran outside to mess with it again. the truck sat for 3 days without running. i flipped the hazards on before firing up the engine, they flickered for a quarter second and died. I turned the engine on, hit the turn signal and it did the same thing as the hazards. next i tried to beep the horn, and got the same result - a faint attempt at a beep, then dead. Im not a mechanic, so I dont know what the hell is going on, but Im completely stumped. high beams still work fine though.

Still think its the relay??
