Default What is a best way to drive over a tree?

Hi,
i need some advice. So over my "best" way to work, there is laying a tree. To save the car a daily trouble i need some advice how to drive over fallen tree which is a bit higher (so the diameter) then ground clearance. When i drive it straight, it is quite painfull for the car because both wheels need to climb him up first and i hit the bottom of the car. When i go first left front, then right front than left rear, right rear i hit bottom also, even stronger i would say but is less pain for car. So how best to climb over such obstacle? What would real offroaders do in that case?

Don't try to drive over it you'll high center and tear something off from under the truck.

As others have said, the best way is to remove the tree from your line of travel.
If for some reason you can't, which ground clearance are you referring to?

If you're saying that the tree diameter is a more than the clearance between the bottom of the diff and the ground, then you'll need to go over it with both wheels at the same time in order to lift your diff over it.

If it's higher than your frame, or bottom of the gearbox, or cats (if you have them) then it's doubtful you can, unless you make a ramp of some sort.

i can remove it but i wont :-), it is fun, in mean time i made it smaller because tree is old and i drove over it so often that i grabbed my way through it :-).
yep it was higher then height under gearbox, i teared some wood off it with bottom of my car first time i tried it. I thought if there is some trick to use as much as ground clearance as possible.

love my defender though :-)
