About to do pads and rotors on our discovery, is there a certain brand/style that is recommended? I was checking out the kits from Atlantic British but was curious if there are any other good options. Thanks!

Just replaced everything (pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, & bearings) if you are up for suggestions, I'd reach out to Justin @ Lucky8llc. They will point you in the right direction.

I installed a set of EBC pads on mine from Roverparts a couple years ago. They seem to be wearing well, don't seem to fade too badly, don't produce an excess amount of brake dust, however, they do tend to squeal fairly often when they first make contact with the rotor upon braking (but typically not during the entire braking process). Part of that reason is probably due to the funky trapezoidal shape of the brake pad/caliper design ...and the way the pads are designed to fit into the caliper. I've actually had a pad (a long time ago) shake loose and dislodge itself from it's seat in the caliper and grid it's way deep into a rotor. Never had that happen on any other vehicle before. But those weren't EBC pads ..and more the fault of the overall design. I do like about these pads that they don't seem to be as sooty, and what soot is produced, washes off pretty easily with soapy water.

If you need to change the rotors out, go with one of the defender brake upgrade kits.
