Default Buying OME shocks from junkyard?

Hey everyone I was at my local pick your part and I noticed one of the Discos had a pair of Old man emu shocks on it. The truck had summer tires and didn't look terribly abused but had 220,XXX on the odo. How well do OME shocks hold up over time? Would they be worth buying for $60? I would pair them with new springs. Thanks in advance!

Pull them off and check the compression/rebound. If they're no good don't buy them.
