Question D2 to D1 seat swap possible?

I saw some front seats from a 2002 discovery and I wondered if anybody ever tried to put them in a Discovery 1. Will the bolt holes match up? Will the electrical plugs match up? If not is it possible to seperate the seats from the base and swap the tops only? These are really nice seats. Need some advice befor I spend the $100.00.

I have seen two other people over the last month look into this and the answer seems to be no, the D2 seats won't fit where the smaller D1 seats were.

I bought D2. I tried, I returned for credit at my salvage yard, and I found that a D1 passenger seat would fit in the driver spot just fine, so I got two passengers ($27 each). See Disco 1 driver seat swap
