Doors won't unlock, key not unlocking doors...
I left my 1994 disco at a friends for a week, tried to unlock doors with fob, light flashes normal on fob, nothing, tried to unlock with key in driver door, cylinder just turns freely. I can get in my truck from passenger side, alarm goes off, took positive/ negative off battery, waited 10 minutes, reattached, alarm light still flashes, truck starts then dies. Any ideas?

Immobilized. Bet your LED red light on dash is either on steady or flashing if key in ignition or driver door open. The driver door key switch also resets the alarm, which you will need to do. While waiting to get all this repaired, you can remove wire from hood alarm switch, and remove door alarm switch and disconnect wire and tape up, but tie to switch so you can pull wire back out of door frame. Idea is to quit tripping alarm. We will send the boyz in da hood to remove your valuables for safekeeping.
Now to get it to arm/disarm with key, without repair of keylock, you have to fool with the wiring harness. Remove kick panel on driver side (north America), locate 13 wire connector C2101, find pin 3, which is a Blue & Green wire. Poke a straight pin in the wire jacket, and apply a momentary ground. That is what you do electrically when you turn the key in the door.

In all honesty I'm not sure, had towed to Land Rover Encino, their expert tried numerous things, nothing worked. $227 for troubleshooting and they are saying I missed a recall for the gas tank. They so far have been more than accommodating and beyond generous, my LR isn't affected by recall but, they are doing it anyway. I'm expecting the worst and hoping for the best.

So did someone fix what you first stated with a lock just turning around and not operating the door locking and alarm system?
As for starting and immediately dies, check MAF sensor, if unplugged or dead it can cause that in a D1. If it is the MAF sensor, you don't want one from a dealer, you can buy a whole truck for that.
