Default Hello drowssap!

Thank You.

My goal is, please don't judge me, to put a Cj3A body on top.... (still there? )
I do it mainly, because I want a so light rig as possible, and too, I have the CJ's around in the yard (or at my friend)..
It is planned to be, at first sight a CJ3A looking rig, or actually, a MLW-2 (a prototype the military had during/infor the war)..
But of course at closer look, You shall see that it has coils at each corner and the shifters are Land Rover, I hope I can use JEEP steering wheel and column.
I DO LIKE ROVERS! Dont misunderstand!
It is just in this project I want to JEEPenize this rig..
I use to own Rovers..
And I planning to exchange my Audi A8, for a Disco2 from -03 and forth, when I get an opportunity!
Might even consider a newer Range Rover...
But I waiting for the "right" rig, or project.. After this first project is more done or finished!

4th surgery this year!? That is hard!
Well, I know what You going thru..
My wife started out as colon cancer, surgery, chemo, radiation etc..
was "planned/doomed" to die for about 3 years ago, so we went and started natural stuff, which is great as long You are careful and choose a diet or plan, ..choose whats feel best for You(personal) and watch out for quakers, that do exist.
We even moved down to south america for a time, so she got sun(vit-C)/heat/ and healthier food, No preservatives or manipulated stuff...
So here she is, still, even thu she is on the last days, I got some "extra" years with my luv.

ok I get what you are trying to do, my real hobby is military vehicles which dad and I have several, if you are using a rover with distributor I would think you could make your own harness, is there a carb setup for the disco engine? you may be better off trying a cj3b body for the extra clearance over engine, you may also need the front shock towers that drop the shocks lower

Default Thank you Tom

Yesterday I lifted an CJ3A body on top of the rolling Rover chassi.
And it turned out quite good and as I expected, I do have to lengthen the tub a bit, but it is just "off" from the MLW-2 with 3/4", longer!
The flooring have to be modified a bit, due to the high channel for the transmission on the Rover, but I planned to use the flooring from the Rover anyway, so I get the nice attachments for the Rover shifters..
AND, the shock tower just fits inside the fender/hood!!
I though I was going to have some problems with that.
The rear part of the Rover frame is to be cut away and be welded some kind of a JEEP alike rear bumper onto..
Now I have to find a MB front grille, ok I have CJ3 and 2 grilles, but like the military style

Here is some pics of the MLW-2.

And the 20" rims and tires!

Hi there folks!
Just want to show that Im still alive, as my "plan" on my project of the Disco!
I is still out side my house, (ok, different place, because I moved) and I got a JEEP C-104 that I mixing in my thoughts to use as a donor to my project, but am not sure yet..
Lots of other things took place, whereof this long time since my "activity" here on the Rover blog and with my project..
