Some good info here on the wiring and pin-outs.

Pls do report back with what you've done. I was working on a switch similar to the one described, but my head unit does not recognize my CD player so I can't 'steal' the audio inputs from the CD as I was attempting to.

Buy a land rover radio (ON THE CHEAP) from Landroverboneyard.com - Roverbones home page Talk to Lincoln at (505)-263-2136. I paid less than $40 shipped!
Or buy a new head unit from amazon and pay $60 to get it installed at best buy.

So what I did was solder headphone wires into socket 2 and 4 I plug in my iPod and get sound out of my right speakers and only some songs work. It really pisses me off. Is there some other method to do this cause this one isn't working for what I've done.
