Our 1996 Discovery died on I-95 and needed a fuel pump. We had it towed to British 4X4 on St. John's Bluff in Jacksonville in the evening and they got it out by 2PM the next day. The pump was $328 and installation was $142. The costs seemed pretty reasonable and we were back on the road quickly. In a separate incident the alternator died in Daytona Beach and we had it replaced at Doug Lenz Auto Electric on Ridgewood Ave for $350.00. Both good experiences. Those are the only shops I've utilized in Central Florida. A plethora of other issues have been handled by me in Orlando since I was close enough to my shade tree garage to take care of it myself.
