Drove a ways today to pick up an R380 5 speed from (junk yard in Dallas). After getting there and feeling how tight feeling everything was, I had to jump on it...$372.50 for everything. After getting it home and washing the inch of dust off it, I found stamps, all around it reading "tasc". I'm curious so I google "Land Rover tasc" and Google says it's a light armored vehicle manf. (3.8 tones light). So I'm wondering if anyone would care to chime in , on wether or not the r380 has been altered in anyway to support such a heavyweight. Opinions are what I'm looking for (I don't expect first hand knowledge) . By the way it's a suffix K🤓

Probably not, but the R380 is pretty stout on it's own.

That said, with the truck being armored, I would expect that your towing capacity is reduced by at least the additional weight that the armor adds.

 

what junk yard did you go to? I've been looking for one in the Dallas area that has Discoveries!
