Default No more Mr Nice Guy...

Spent some time removing the passenger door card this afternoon. After pulling back the plastic I was able to take a look at what was going on, or more appropriately, not going on with the door.

The problem I was having was that it took two people essentially to open the door, one pulling the handle inside and one pulling the handle outside. Now while my wife enjoys me opening the door for her, this was a little much to ask (apparently).

Anyway, once the door card is off I had to remove the electric door lock mech for access then it was just a matter of removing a clip on the exterior handle pushrod and making a few tightening turns for that part to work right again. The interior handle required a few turns on an adjustment nut near the back part of the door. There are really only two adjustable rods once you gain access (the hardest part) and they both just needed a small adjustment.

Another item crossed-off the list...

Ha! I drove her car (2006 XTerra) to the Christmas party last night and nearly put our heads through the windshield the first time I hit the brakes (they are a bit more responsive the what is on the LR). The X also seemed much more 'peppy' than usual as well!! ;-)
