Default Quick Question About a Potential Buy...

Found a DI on CL for $700. On the add the guys states he got it as a trade for some landscaping work and the previous owner told him it needed a "Camshaft Sensor."

I'm at work and don't have access to the RAVE, is there such a thing as a "camshaft sensor" or do you think he's referring to the Crankshaft Positioning Sensor?

Thanks....

Yep, going to call after I leave work, it might have just been a ploy to try and get me to come quickly

I'm not sure about you guys, but whenever I see a Disco for under $1000, I feel like it's worth it to buy to try and flip.

i used to do that every now and then with old vws... can be fun if you like to gamble and have the free time to fix it up.

sometimes you get lucky... and sometimes what looks like just a failed timing belt also turns out to be 0 compression engine with cracked ring lands :P

its amazing what a non/barely running engine can hide on the rest of the car! ha
