Seafoam induction on Discovery series 1

Stand on the side of truck with battery. Look at intake. See rubber hose from intake to fitting on right side valve cover. Use that hose, suck 1/3 - 1/2 can into the intake. Let sit a few minutes. Crank up and drive, be prepared for large cloud. Goes away in a few minutes. Do not do this inside garage. Do not do this if neighbors are prone to call 911.
What goes along with this is using carb cleaner to wash out your PCV system (come from both valve covers), and clean the throttle body buttery fly valve, and remove and clean the IACV. Buy special made for MAF spray and clean MAF when stone cold and truck has not been turned on for hours.

Find air filter box. Work toward engine. Next big gizmo is the MAF, in series with the rubber hose. The Idle Air Control valve is bolted into the throttle body. It is the next sensor you come to. When removed, you will see it is a 200 step stepper motor with a cone shaped pintle end. This controls the vacuum leak at idle and the idle speed. Don't tinker with the end, just spray it.

The seafoam is supposed to be "sucked" into the air intake, not poured. I haven't actually done it, so I just guessing based on what I've read. It sounds like instead of the seafoam going into the combustion chamber it has gone into your oil system/crankcase. Definitely explains why there is no smoke.
With my limited knowledge I would suggest you do and oil flush and change. I say flush only because I have been sold that by the local lube and tune, but not sure what that actually entails.
There might be more you can do, hopefully one of the senior members will chime in.
Good luck, I bet you wish you had never heard of seafoam at this point.
