Tornado Chip

The guy I bought my Land Rover from (really good guy) gave me a ton of extra parts. He said he had some more and couldn't remember what all he had. Long story short he gave me a bunch more parts he had in storage and found a Tornado Chip for it. He said he spent 650 bucks on it. He also has the mated ECM with it too. He said all I would need to do would be to swap the ECM. He said it was in a water proof box and would sell it to me for $300. Is the performance/mileage gains worth it?

It sounds very interesting from reading about it. I'd buy it for that price.

If it was worth it we'd all have one on our trucks with the fuel hogs these v8's are..

I agree most chips are pointless but I do know more than the average bear about cars and this seems to be legit. It is pretty much a reflash for the ECM with better engine management controls with some other goodies. Along with the other stuff he is throwing in it seemed like it might be worth it.

If you don't sell it to me then let us know what difference it makes in comparison with stock.

I don't see any chip or even a modded ecu doing much if anything in the case of the pigs we have under our hoods. You could make more of a difference by spending that money elsewhere.
