Default 01 air suspension lift

I was talking to a local mechanic who is a licensed land rover mechanic (only one in Columbus Ga). He was saying that he could lift the rear end by about 3 inches with just hooking it up to his computer and reprograming the air ride. I was wondering how true this is and if it is safe. Also would there need to be any other work done to it if I had that done. I know this will only lift the rear so I would need to do something in the front. Also does anyone happen to know the stock backspacing on the stock 01 se7 wheels?thanks

Don't do it, his way of lifting it will over inflate the bags, make it ride like a dump truck and cause quick bag failures.
Go to, http://www.rovertym.com/, order Steve's 2" SLS lifting spacer and adjuster, when installed, you can set up the rear to run between 2" and 3"s with less air pressure and a better ride, then you just need to put coils in the front and your set.

I found an SE7 that is really super nice but the air suspension has been removed. I have another SE7 that is dead but the air suspension is still functional. Does anyone here know if I could use my original parts to restore the air suspension into the one that has been removed? They are both 2001 SE7 and are identical. Java Black/Adobe Beige.

Hi Mike.

Ps; if you lift the front end of a Disco II with air suspension will the rear automatically raise to level the vehicle?
