17 MPG - city, confirmed...
Hi.
10 gallons ----> 170 miles.
Measured soon fuel light on to soon fuel light on, flat surface, average speed under 40 mph, never reached 50 mph, no air conditioner use these days, mostly flat terrain. About 20 cold starts plus dozens of hot starts.
Tires are at 38 psi, brakes are not even slightly binding, the car slides on the tiniest slope if not held braking. No front driveshaft nor front axles, as I never go off roads. Attached.
On an older post I reported 18 MPG on hilly freeway pulling a loaded utility trailer.
Still believe am getting 20+ MPG - freeway without trailer, some day I will report.

There are some vehicles that just do better than others, but I also know people who seems to always claim higher than attainable mpg numbers. Even a 1/2 gallon variance would drop you to 16 using only 170 miles.
That's awesome if your numbers are accurate, but I have to say I'm skeptical.
I'm curious though...what have you done to your truck, brand of plugs, brand of fuel, etc, etc.....?

Thanks.
For the question brand of plugs, fuel. Have not replaced them in 2 years, do not know what they are. The fuel in use is the cheapest 87 octane at any random fuel station I come across.
Driving habits -almost like a gramma.
Sometimes I fill only 10.0 gallons at fuel light on to track mileage and note odometer on the receipt. I do not have an UG, and the numbers are just that, the figures that show up with the simple calculation method described.
How did I remove the front drive should be somewhere on a post like " It is now a rear wheel drive only"

Fill up your vehicle's gas tank. ...
Reset your car's trip meter to zero. ...
Get a true test by burning at least half of your tank, then refill. ...
Write down the number of gallons it took to fill your tank and the number of miles on your trip meter. ...
Divide the trip meter miles by the gallons of gas.

I don't see your post about how you did it.
maybe you can post a link
but if you pulled the axles, r&p gears, and front drive shaft.
there would be a weight savings, plus driving like Granny.
but you now have a 2-wheel drive Bronco with the equivalent of a 250 6 cylinder. but I think even Ford went with a 300 cu in.
I thought the point of a LR was that it could get you any where at any time.
BTW
if you have removed everything front the front end and are running RWD only, you should look into a Gear Vendors unit.
you could have a 20-25mpg Discovery.
