Default 2003 Land Rover Discovery 110k miles Vehicle Jerks when Cold P0722

I have a 2003 Discovery with 110k miles and the vehicle jerks when its cold. The M and S are flashing and the Service Engine light is on. The check engine code is P0722 Output Speed Sensor. Can someone tell me the part number I need for this and the labor hours. Is the output speed sensor inside the transmission or on top? Is it the same as the Speed Transducer?

Tranny code. Sensor is inside valve body inside tranny. Connector with that signal and others leaves tranny and runs to tranny ECU. Might try to remove, clean (with electronic contact cleaner spray) and reseat that connector. If going inside the tranny add new filter and fluid.

Thank you sir. Do you have a part number for the sensor? When i call Land Rover they don't see a output speed sensor that sits on top of the tranny. I tried 3 different Land Rover Dealers.

Also how long do you think it will take to change the sensor?

I had the M and S light also blinking as well as the D on my trannie. It turned out to be my battery, I got it tested and it was bad. When I replaced the battery these issues went away

Please look at the pages I sent you, and related ones in the RAVE. The sensor is not on the tranny, it is inside. You have to access the valve body to change it. From looking at the tech manual, you decide if you want to DIY. If you take pages to dealer, parts dept will have exploded diagrams to point to the part. Don't know if dealer will work on tranny or farm it out. Dealer will have to quote labor, pulling pan off tranny is not a 15 minute job.

So i replaced the Speed transducer (Speedometer transmitter) Dealer Part Number: stc4444 p4019-178635 and new oil filter and gaskets. I'm still getting the same symptoms and same code...

I had the battery and alternator checked out and they both passed.

Any other ideas?

I replied to the other thread you posted in, but to add one thing, do not let it sit in D at a stop, it is not in Neutral, and can cause a lot more damage then you already have.
