Well, with a help from an angle grinder.
So I got that set of 16" rims Paul Grant was selling. Cheers Paul.
They had some 275/75/16 rubber on, I think. Didn't fit. Rubbed in the front wheel wells. Just. Only on turning.
I know, I'll get some 265/70/16, which will certainly fit. Right? I didn't take into account that Paul's old rubber was worn down. New Guard Dogs turn up. Same diameter as the old rubber. Doh.
Angle grinder out. Now I'm fine. And I get to keep the old rubber which came on the rims as back up.
Oh, no lift by the way. Just to add to that discussion.
265/70/16 didnt fit without modification. Think I've read many views on this one subject. Maybe I'll lift it in the future, but I have no plans to.

I was wondering about the original springs maybe having sagged a touch. There is a measurement I know I can search for. Centre of wheel to arch. 19" rings a bell. Will search.
If I replaced with stock springs I wonder if i might gain a bit extra there?
Lift isn't out of the question. Hmmm. Xmas present to me.
