Default ABS Modulator

I ran a search to find my answer, but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Is the ABS modulator out of a 2000 Disco II compatible with my 2004 DiscoII?

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it will be compatible, it just might not have all of the latest updates to the manufacturing process. There is a part number for 1999 through late 2003. Then there are two more part numbers for 2003. Then there is a 2004 part number. The part number for 2004 is shown at many sites as working for all of the years.

What's wrong with your modulator?

I get the three amigos popping up from time to time. I thought that I would replace the whole thing. The guy that has one from a 2000 disco also has one from a 2003 with 14k miles on it. He is going sell it to me for $75.

There have been different revisions but all are cross compatible.

I picked up the modulator for $75 today. I have to fly out of town for work this weekend, but it is going in next weekend. Good bye three amigos!

why dont you replace the shuttle valve switch/seal and do the option 2 bypass before you install it an be done with it. The one your putting may only have 14k miles on it but the seals are still over 10 years old, its only a matter of time before you have the same problem.

First, yes, they are the same part number, 99 thru 04's. Second, without scanning for codes, how do you know the module is bad?
