Default actuator confusion

has anybody run across a drivers door actuator that neither locks or unlocks?
cant move the manual linkage
key fob just honks on lock but will unlock all doors but driver
the linkage will twinge on lock command but nothing on unlock
key will lock/unlock all doors except driver
harness good from actuator to kick panel
replaced actuator with used one still the same

ideas suggestions?

When you say the wire harness going to the actuator is good, did you check it with a multi-meter to see if you are getting power to the actuator when you hit the lock button. If so I would bet that you just got a bad used actuator.

Just curious, will your door lock with the "super lock" command? Just double click the lock button on your remote. CAUTION: This makes it so you can't open the door from the inside handle. DO NOT try this if there is no way to unlock your door. (unless you are pulling the actuator anyway, in this case do it with the door open and just make the door switch think your door is closed)

you know that moment when you realize that you've spent a lot of time and effort trying to make something more difficult than it is....

new used actuator works fine the door locks don't cycle unless the door is closed ..duh thanks for the input
