Default Atlantic British "Super Gaz" 1.6' Lift

Looking at getting a 2' or so lift on my disco. read a lot about emu and terrafirma. my mechanic who is a rover specialist, said that he has put these on a lot trucks and have had great responses. i trust his opinion, but i haven't heard of anyone using these... anyone had any experience with them? i'm thinking for the extra $250 i'll probably go with the hd emu kit... but just thought i would ask if anyone has had any experience with this lift.

Default Super Gaz

I would be interested to hear if anyone has experience with Super Gaz. Seems a bit cheapo to me. Talking with local shop (Green Dog Rovers) they have had good results with Terrafirma products.

Nothing wrong with the Super Gaz. I have installed several over the years. It is a BritPart, I do not no who makes them.

SuperGaz (BritPart) is one of the most used kits in the UK.
Comes with a 50k mile warranty.

I thunked about it when I was making my decision and decided to go with the herd: OME. Sometimes there's a reason that something is the standard that others are judged against. And the difference in price, not that huge. At least it was small enough for me to make the jump to OME at the time.

But... If you're interested, go for it! Someone's gotta be the one willing to try something new, right?

Once they add shipping, the price is only about $100 cheaper than the OME at lucky8 (which has free shipping). Less than $100 cheaper if you go with terrafirma.

Put a winch in your ARB and you'll be looking for some springs too.

All I'm saying is everyone is afraid to try something different, they have been told one thing and they dont do any research of their own, they just take it at its word.
I'm not saying not to go with OME, I'm just saying why be scared of anything else?
What makes one brand better than the other?
What proof can you show me that makes a $800 spring set better than a $500 spring set?

All I'm saying is that by the time you add shipping, the $549 set is over $600, and the other brands that are more popular aren't much more.

Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...

I'm not sure I'd risk using a relatively less known brand to save $10. (and in this case, the super gaz kit would actually cost me $13 more than the terrafirma).

I'm all about doing research, and possibly trying new things... that's why I've been driving around for months with my front end sagging under the weight of my winch and bumper, because I'm STILL not sure exactly what I want... even though I research it all of the time. I guess you can take that direction to an extreme too.
