Default A/C issue

so I tried to use one of those DIY a/c recharge things because my air wasn't blowing very cold(75f inside the vent). I followed the instructions on the can. about 3/4 of the way complete, the pump would start kicking on and off and the pressure on the Guage would bottom out and then come back. now it does it all the time when the car is running and does the blow any colder than before. any idea?

I'm going to try to get it into an a/c shop whenow I get a free day next week. thanks!

You need to evac the system, put a vacuum on it, and recharge it.

Well if you bought a vacuum pump from say Harbor Freight you could do it at home along with a set of gauges.

Charlie_V had a write up on doing this without a pump I think. Something like "Redneck AC Vacuum" it something like that.
