Default Code P1173

My check engine light came on this morning, stopped my AutoZone on my way home from work and they came back with P1173. I've found P1171 and P1174 on here which were all O2 issues. Would/could this more than likely be an O2 sensor issue also?

Thanks in advance.

You may want to replace the first 2 sensors, erase the codes, then see what you get. You're at just about the milage they seem to go. I would do the ones up front first, those are the ones that read the exhaust coming out of the engine itself, the ones behind those just tell the computer that the cats. are working.

P1173 is a code for the post converter sensor on the right hand side.

Oh, maybe you will need all four?? Or is that code just telling you that the readings are off on that one due to the first one being shot?

I just Googled "Rover Discovery p1173" because that wasn't a code I had memorised, but didn't look through the results to see if there was a thread from a forum where the user posted a fix. I checked a few results, and they were open ended.

Huh. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread and see where it leads. It's always good to know what to do if it happens to you...
Good Luck, I hope it's something easy!!!

Reasons why it is so important to post what you did and if it fixed the problem!

Yeah, there are way too many problems with no final solutions posted. I hope that doesn't mean that the problems just never get solved!!!!
