OK guys, kick back, deep breaths, open the RAVE manual at page 18-2-90 Engine Management and start reading, there is only a few pages to digest and re-read and all will be revealed. Good luck

There is an electrical diagram on page 31-1 (top of page) in the Electrical Library.

Make doubly sure you read the V8 section and NOT the TD5 as it is completely different. Happy days eh

Vacuum line from back of brake petal to "T" junction and then follow both lines until you find it, I bet you'll find it cracked. When your engine is cold there is higher vacuum, sounds like borderline loss of vac and you lose CC. I think about 8 feet of new like hose will replace it all (careful not to damage the "T").

D2 doesn't have a vacuum line going to the brake pedal. That is only on D1's vs D2. The D2 will have a single vacuum line from the pump up to the actuator.

(disco 2 brake switch sends signal to ABS ecu instead of vac).
Your right I have a 98 Disco 1 and 2000 Disco2 Both of them are fixed now on their cruise controls, 16 feet of vacuum line (I have some extra) this forum has saved me quite a bit a time and money. Thank you. While I was at the parts house I picked up 2 quarts of DOT 4 Brake Fluid. Today I flush the brake system (ABS) 2000 which is named Blu. It really does NOT matter which wheel you start with since each line is totally separate on ABS systems. I live just down the hill from the Effendahl Pass n state forest lots of legal trails for us there and some rock garden fun. If anyone has the three amigos, I would suggest topping all your fluids off and taking your mountain goat off road for 10 mins.....use the low and high range and when you put it back in high range back up 20 feet a couple times and unwind the transmission. THEN change your DOT 4 Brake Fluid (every 24 months) mileage doesn't matter as much at time as it absorbs moisture from ambient air at a certain rate. 24 months will keep things proper.

I recently fixed my D2 cruise control issue. The vacuum lines, CC fuse, and on/off switch all checked out. After stumbling on a schematic I realized the power also runs through the HORN fuse (of course, why wouldn't it? ). I unhooked my non-working horns, replaced the blown fuse, and the CC works...for the first time since I purchased the vehicle.
