Hood Lift Struts on at D2?
Has anybody ever installed hood lift struts on a D2? It does not have the lightest hood in the world, and at times it is quite hot to touch. Also it would make it much easier for my wife to check fluids if she had too while driving it. 
I had some on a Lexus sedan once and it was quite nice to release the latch and have the hood move to its correct upright position for me. Just a little thing, but aren't most of our upgrades?
