Unhappy imobilizer incorrect code? WTF?

ok guys im stumped, a couple months ago I posted about the engine cranks no start. ya all gave me advise on the CPS crank position sensor. I changed that out and dammed if the car did start. and ran for couple weeks and the flashing S&M lights came up. boom limp mode asked for advise , got check batteries. and yes both batteries dead. the guy in cali who installed my two new optimas ran then from pos to pos and neg to neg. no isolators or fuses. drained both killed both. two months out of warranty...dangnabbit!! silly wabbit.
so I removed both batteries, left out for three weeks. got two new optimas and kit to run dual batteries. however I haven't installed kit yet as I just put in the red top and re-hooked cables...put in keys... and smack!!!cranks but no start again... WTF, Checked all grounds, fuses, and yes even replaced the CPS. Still no start..
I put on the ol handy icarsoft and run diagnose. I get this. IMOBILIZER WRONG CODE. Then I regress and start singing daisy daisy where did the power go... until hal woke me up and said hey you goto the forums and check the gurus... so I went to atlantic british. to read instrucions for the cps. and under refit number nine says.

Refit ……..
9. Reset adaptions using TestBook.

Do i have to have my car towed to the shop to reset this and get it running. and does it have to have something reset to un imobilize my baby?

Thanks guys for your help this past couple years. i really need to get on the road to travel.....

thanks in advance.

First things first, it cranks but won't start. This does not sound like immobilizer, l believe the immobilizer would not allow the engine to crank over. You'd just get nothing, when you turn the key to the crank position.

So, let's verify what you do have and don't have.

It cranks...but won't start.

Check for spark, by pulling a plug wire and sticking a screwdriver in the boot and holding close to block (hold by handle of screwdriver...or you will verify spark manually...not visually...lol). If you have spark, good. If not, bad.

Check fuel rail for fuel pressure with gauge, or remove some sparkplugs and smell them for signs of fuel. If you have pressure or signs of fuel, good. If not, bad.

Check compression, if good...you know timing gears/chain are good and cylinders are working as should. If bad all cylinders, need to dig deeper.

I just had a crank, but no start on my new 03. After changing crank sensor, with no success, l started to verify conditions. No spark, but had fuel present in cylinders. So, l went to the drivers compartment fuse box to verify fuse #14 being good (coil pack fuse), it was good. Next, l reached over to check ignition relay (bottom left relay) and it fell out in my hand when I touched it...pushed it back in and had spark. Installed removed plugs and wires...and she fired up.

You need to verify conditions of each system.
