I can not for the life of me find instruction on how to remove the radio from my 03 disco. I have the nav system in it, so its the flip down face version.

Anyone know how to do this ? Does this require the little tool to pull it out ? Land rover quoted me $400 to do this.

Look at the rave...... yes it requires a tool...best buy has them

just called best buy and the guy i talked to was like .. "whats a discovery" wow .. ya i really want them installing a radio for me haha.

 

ok ... i got a cr audio place to pull it and give me the serial number for $40 ... thats way better then LR's $400 ..

 

Look at your head unit, there are 2 horizontal slots near the bottom. You need a tool that slides in there to release the catches and then hook the radio out.
I used 2 metal strips removed from a hanging file folder http://www.staples.com/Staples-100-R...?cmArea=SEARCH

Look the image below and you will understand. You need to fiddle a bit until you feel the hook engaging and then you can pull the radio out.
