Default INFO: Belt length without air conditioning (A/C)

Hi All,

The pulley bearing on my A/C pump ceased up over the weekend. I could not get a new pump in town, and the A/C did not work anyway. So, I was looking to bypass it. I made some crude measurements and got lucky, so I though I would share the knowledge.

If, for whatever reason, you want the belt to bypass the A/C bump, you need a 70" 7 groove belt. I was able to find one at my local parts shop. Attached is a drawing of how I ran it. It worked great.

This should be a sticky, and a spare belt in off roader's scrounge kit...
