Yeah I did, thanks for asking. Picked it up on Saturday. I have not had much time to mess with it this week. Wife has been driving it some while I am using her car for work commute.

I have a few days off next week and I plan to get down and dirty changing out the fluids.

Engine runs solid though. Exterior/interior is nice, it was taken care of.

I did have an alignment and tire balance done after I bought it. It was in need. But so far so good.

Previous rig was a 6" lifted 95 Jeep JY with 33" tires. And man, to be honest, its nice to have AC when it's 95 degrees and something easy to get in and out of - haha

The wife really likes the disco. I was surprised. Kids miss the jeep though...naturally.

Yeah, at least it doesn't have tranny problems! lol

I need to get around to changing fluids, and i have around $600 of stuff to replace to get everything on the car back into working order, and just the way i want it. Plus, my tires are almost bald, so that has to happen, too.

Kids have a problem getting in an out? I know most of the people i drive around have a bit of work to do to get into the back seat, and it is even stock height! I wonder how it will work out when i switch to 265/75r16 for it? lol (and i know they might have rubbing problems, but i will try it and see, and i just might be "forced" to lift it...oh well)

Yeah tranny problems stink because most of the time, you have to drop it to fix it. And w/out a lift and proper tools, it makes doing it on your back a nightmare....

Your doing the right thing taking it to a shop. It's the kind of work that is no fun what so ever in a standard garage with jack stands and hand tools...especially solo.

Yeah, with any luck, the tranny wont have to be removed, but i would rather have them retighten the bolts, than burn my hands trying to do it myself...

Well, that sucked.

They said that it would be louder and i would always hear it if it was coming from the bell housing, and he didn't think that he could tighten the torque convertor bolts without pulling the tranny...i told him how to do it, and he still wouldn't. Then he said that the idle tick was from the engine, again, probably valve noise.

And finally, the kicker: he told me that the vibration was from a bad vibration dampener, which sounded right...until i got home, checked my RAVE, and realized that the V8 doesn't even HAVE a vibration dampener!

So, that was useless.

Next move: take it back to Dennis at LinDen and get him to tell me what it is for free, under the pretense that he missed it when i payed for the inspection the first time!

I have an appointment with Dennis on Wednesday at 4...and when i talked to him on the phone, he said it could be a misfire.

He said that misfires only cause the CEL if they are damaging the cats, so it might not be showing up, and that those codes can't be read with a normal autozone, etc. code reader. He is going to check for any codes like that, and we will try to figure out what is causing the misfire if there is one.

Have him fit those missing rubber grommets while you are there, part # ERR7229.
You will have to get them at a dealer and it will be a special order item.
