I replaced the CPS at 65K just for good measure but kept the old one as a spare. No idea how old the alt is...probably original...I'll pick one up. I have a 3300CFM electric fan...should I upgrade? Where to buy?? I can't take petroleum products (grease, oil, etc) with m, but I can order them once I get there if they don;t have it.

O2 sensors (Bosch...all 4) new in last 6 mo. Radiator just replaced...running a few degrees cooler now and no leak so the cooling system is good. Picked up a spare Thermostat from Rovers North (P/N RNQ028) just in case the Motorad one I installed last year proves problematic. I'll take my chances on the alternator...that's an expensive part to procure for just-in case reasons, and if it was faulty, I'd not be able to return/exchange it. So aside from fluids/filters/greasing and such, I'm ready! Anyone recommend a specific ATF that fluid change, or will any do?

P.S. RN offered a military discount...much appreciated!

I would bring some rollers or slides and the associated bolts for the window regulators. Or just a few regulators. Lucky8 has good prices on them.

OK, so I'm in Turkey now (still whip-lashed from the new job) and found out the Disco won't be arriving NLT 13 July as promised...looking more like October. I can file a claim against this, but what I need to know is what are my areas of concern for a car that sat in a shipping container 3 months longer than expected and 5 months total? I did not ship with any additives or anything...didn't think it would be necessary. Thoughts?

besides the obvious things like fluids,
I would wonder if the ecu will have an issue "waking up" after being dead that long. mold in the leather and rugs, and did rats get into the container and chew up your wiring and hoses.

I would put in a claim buy an early v8 defender that you can legally bring home,
that's what we all really want . isn't it.

Hmm...defender would be nice, especially sporting my new 4.6 Top Hat block!

Now you've got me hoping it's under vs on the Atlantic!

I just saw this post! I hope you didnt take so much unnecessary stuff with you just because you 'might' need those parts one day since it is super cheap to send something from US to Incirlik.
I am from Adana and had some relatives working at the base(they are retired now) let me know if you need any information/help over there. I have been living in US for almost 9 years now but I still have all my family there
Have some Adana Kebap for me! lol
Good Luck!

First of all, THANKS for your service. My son left the Navy after 4 years under water.

My wife and I loved Turkey and would go back again, wonderful country, wonderful friendly people, great food and even wine. Yes, the current leader is not the best but that will change with time.

Be safe and keep posting if you have LR adventures.
