Default No power after new battery and alternator

I just installed a new battery and alternator in my '03 Disco. The car had power to unlock doors and had lights after the battery change, but once I changed the alternator there is no power, none. I installed a new 12V 130A LActrical alternator. I cleaned the terminals and the ground is attached to the chassis. The fuses in the engine compartment are fine. Power one minute and 30min later, nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the fuse for the alternator? The 150amp MEGA Fuse or thin strip of metal in later models. It sounds like a bad battery connection or cable to the alternator or fuse box under the hood.

Sometimes the metal strip type fuses look good, but are actually bad. If you have that kind and it looks good, it may be worth testing anyway. See if it will light a test light on both sides.
Also, if you leave the battery connected while changing the alternator, there's a possibility the wire grounded out and blew the fuse.

You can get the 150AMP MEGA Fuse at any Auto Parts store for like 5.00. I replaced the metal looking one in my 02 with the actual MEGA Fuse looking one and I made the metal one my spare (much thinner and fit into my spare parts kit easier).

Thanks for the help. Where is the 150A fuse? I have 3 fusable links that bolt into the fuse panel hnder the hood, but they are 100,50,50.

It's the fusible link to the left of the plugs, at the bottom of the photo.

This what I have circled? Presume I would put a test probe on one / either side? Running? Accessories only? Just curious of the proper procedure if anyone knows.
