Default OEM Navigation Discs...

I have a 2004 Discovery HSE with OEM Navigation however the disc set that is with the vehicle is 2001/2002. What is the most current release and where may I purchase it?

That NAV system sucks. I can't see the use in updating it even if there was one.

Use a phone with the app WAZE.

Believe you received advice to not waste time or money.

Google search? Ask dealer? Road atlas?

You're welcome. It is my understanding that they do not make any newer OEM disks for that antiquated system.

Good luck in your search. Maybe use your rotary phone to dial 411?

Sorry, I could not resist.

searched and no results, navteq redirects to LR site and does not list any products because they no longer support that platform and i didn't expect them too since the last update on my L322 SC was 2015 and navteq stated that would be the final release and they will no longer support that platform.

i was hoping that there would be something more current since it is a becker unit used in many different models but it appears that this may be the one and only version.

i will contact dealer and post results in case there is one other oddball on here like me who may want to update the system.

Would be nice to find update to use existing system. Tech/World/Corp changes since 2004 likely make the updates uneconomical for profit viability for Dino systems. Even standalone GPS mfgs auto business has tanked.

you may be right, the first few responses were not to bother so it seems owner/driver interest just isn't there and probably not at $250. only a few people would want to do that.

i've updated on my other vehicles and it's comical that the dealer charges so much when these are now essentially automated but they still charge hourly rate as it updates the system. the way they are done now on newer audi and bmw vehicles is through a license key like the way you would purchase computer software.

If the US NAS D2 runs the same Becker satnav the discs are Navtec and are usually 2 years behind the model year. They used the same Becker satnav in the Freeleander 1 and 2 so the discs may be available at a price. I looked into a new disc some years ago, circa 10 years, and they were GBP£160 back then.

I still use the old D2 Becker but also a Garmin as well which has free lifetime upgrades.

price isn't the issue, availability seems to be the main factor.
i can't even find a part number for something newer than what i already have.
