Silverstars are all I run when I step back in the dark ages and run halogens. For halogens the Silverstars are very bright. You should upgrade to HID.

Your headlight grounds are on the inner fender on each side. Check next to the battery for the right headlight and by the jack for the left. That's the best description I can come up with of where they are based on the RAVE manual. The ground for the RH headlight is C0559 and LH is C0564. If you go into RAVE and click on connector, then click on those numbers it has a picture of where they are.

Swap bulbs first to see if its the bulb or the wiring. Change from side to side with the bulbs you have,
that will tell you what you need to know.
The new Silver Star Ultras are better that the old ones.

Check the headlight connector plugs for a good connection.
I had a similar problem on a car before, the headlight bulb got to hot and melted the plug.
Replaced the plug and all was well again.

Halogens are the factory type bulb. Yes you need a kit to upgrade to HID.
