Parking brake problem
Ok, I went to put my parking brake lever down and it was stuck, but with some force I managed to get it unlocked and down, but when I did I think the lever broke or the cable may be stuck/corroded/broke, has anyone had this problem and is it an easy fix. The truck wouldn't roll because the e brake was stuck so I hit the shaft and it unstuck, but my lever doesn't work anymore????

This exact problem has not happened to me but I have removed the E-brake cable from the handle when installing the wood console. If you gently pry out the black leather like shroud, you will see how the e-brake cable is held in the handle. A screw driver can help pry it out. Then you could use spray lube and shoot it down the cable housing to see if that will free it up. The cable acutates a drum brake on the back of your transfer case that locks up your rear wheels.

Did you really hit your rear shaft to get it loose? With a hammer?
mx468...Start on page 878 in the RAVE; it details the handbrake components.
It may be as simple as the 'C' clip for the adjuster wheel is unsecured/broken.

The Main Ground got disconnected from the Alternator so my brake line got super hot on my 02 Disc.ii After I got that problem fixed I found that The parking Cable is stuck and wont go down how can I unstick the line. Im going nuts if theres one thing i fix theres a next one coming up.
If enough power ran through the cable it probably welded itself together (cable to the metal sheath), If you can't get it freed up then replacement is the next step. (kind of a PITA job, not very difficult but a PITA nonetheless)
