Default Rear Door Speakers

Are the tail door speakers the same as the lower front door speakers on the Harmon Kardon system?

Are you looking to replace them?

They should. I think they are all 6 1/2" speakers. I replaced my tail speakers with aftermarket. I read a thread somewhere that recommended the speakers that fit the tail door. Sorry I can't remember where.

Not sure if the rear door panels on a 2000 are the same as a 2004, but from what I remember only a few speakers will fit.

Well the speakers that are in there now are these Blaupunkt GTc652 6-1/2" component speaker system at Crutchfield.com but they are too small so the screws only line up one one side causing the other side to rattle. I took it apart and but some RTV around it but it is still rattling. At the local junk yard, there is a D2 with the lower front speakers and I was going to get them if they work. If not, I was thinking the buzzing noise might be because these are two way component speakers and I might need something like this. Kicker 10CVT651 CompVT 6-3/4" shallow-mount 1-ohm subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

For the rear speakers I went with Kenwood KFC-1664S 6.5 3 ways. They sound nice for rear filler speakers and fit with plenty of room in my '04. Plus they were only $30 at the time.

If you do a search for your vehicle on Crutchfield it outlines the specs of the factory speakers.

Thought the subs in the cargo door were 6" and the ones on the other doors were 6.5". I may be wrong, but that's what I think. Now each speaker company's speaker basket/frame design is different so a 6.5 from some companies may fit the hole.
