Rear passenger door LOCKED from inside and out

Rear passenger door LOCKED from inside and out
First time poster, here. I owe a debt of gratitude to the members on this board. You've helped me through many DIY Rover projects.
Vehicle: '02 DII
Issue: About a month ago, one of the rear passenger doors became locked. Pulling either the interior or exterior handles does nothing. The door is shut, and locked.
Upon removing the interior trim, the lock tab (on the sill) fell onto the seat. I tried to blindly find it's home on the actuator, to no avail.
As we all know, the actuators in these guys need to be replaced once in a while. And that is the direction I was going.
But, as for now, I'm stuck. Anyone have some advice for my next step? I simply need to get this door open.
