Default blinking glow behind engine

Hi all..new discovery owner here. Its running rough, like an ignition or plug problem, so i went to replace the plugs this evening and noticed the blinking glow of a spark coming from behind the engine (where the HT wires go) behind the intake manifold. Its dark outside and i had not got my lights outside yet. The engine was running and the blinking was easy to see...are there any common problems with HT wires or the coil behind the engine?.
Thanks in advance
Chris

Sounds like a short at your ignition coils probably from a bad wire. You need to replace the wires on these engines as they tend to go bad with a vengeance. Use magnacors or kingsborne.
